After graduating from the Art Institute in Houston with a degree in commercial art, Verdun went to work in the field of fine art, producing mixed media works, and open edition fine art prints. The South Louisiana artist has had his works shown at the Los Angeles and New York Expos, and has been published and widely distributed by Verkerke of the Netherlands. Later, he began to focus his efforts on portraits and nudes. This series was influenced by Modigliani, Matisse, and Gauguin
